Lord, my heart is not proud;
my eyes are not haughty.
I don’t concern myself with matters too great
or awesome for me.
But I have stilled and quieted myself,
just as a small child is quiet with its mother.
Yes, like a small child is my soul within me.
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord —
now and always.
(Psalm 131 NLT)

Give thanks to Adonai, for he is good, for His grace continues forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for His grace continues forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His grace continues forever; to Him who alone has done great wonders, for His grace continues forever; to Him who skillfully made the heavens, for His grace continues forever; to Him who spread out the earth on the water, for His grace continues forever; to Him who made the great lights, for His grace continues forever; the sun to rule the day, for His grace continues forever; the moon and stars to rule the night, for His grace continues forever. (Psalm 136:1-9 CJB)
You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness,
O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,
who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.
Those far away fear your wonders;
where the morning dawns and evening fades
you call forth songs of joy.
(Psalm 65:5-8 NIV)

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see.
This is what the ancients were commended for.
By faith we understand
that the universe was formed at God’s command,
so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
(Hebrews 11:1-3 NIV)
Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm…
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions?
Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set, or who laid its corner stone —
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels shouted for joy?”
(Job 38:1-7 NIV)

What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?
Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?
(Job 38:19-20 NIV)
In the beginning the Word already existed.
He was with God, and he was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
He created everything there is.
Nothing exists that he didn’t make.
Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone.
The light shines through the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
(John 1:1-5 NLT)

Remember things that happened
at the beginning, long ago —
that I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
At the beginning I announce the end,
proclaim in advance things not yet done.
(Isaiah 46:9-10a CJB)
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,
or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
Who has understood the Spirit of the Lord,
or instructed him as his counselor?
Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him,
and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge
or showed him the path of understanding?
(Isaiah 40:12-14 NIV)

Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives forever and ever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honour and power,
for you made the whole universe;
by your will, when it did not exist, it was created.”
(Revelation 4:9-11 NJB)
